Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso (Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition)
I read The Aeneid years ago in a translation by Rolfe Humphries. Your post has convinced me that Vergil needs to be reread, especially before tackling The Divine Comedy. So I plan to pick up one of the translations you recommend. I look forward to further posts on Dante and also on Lucan, someone I have never read. Like Liked by 1 person. Oh I forgot about the Humphries translation. That one is very good as well! Lucan is so underappreciated! Thanks so much for being such a faithful reader and commenter.
