Some days I fear this process, as my mind can be a scary place to dwell. Other days I realize I'm not alone in this journey, and although the very action of expelling ones deepest thoughts onto paper is intensely personal, it is deeply healing.

Funny how that works. I'm a mom, an animal lover, and adore light Sharing ones thoughts on paper is an intimate experience, and should not be taken lightly.
Rebecca's of Maine
I'm a mom, an animal lover, and adore lightening storms and fireplaces. I recycle, hug trees and sit on the grass whenever possible. I'm grateful for my parents for giving me life, and for my children for making it all worthwhile. I believe in showing kindness to others The ideas for this book, and the ones that will follow, came at a time when I was hurting, and needed a release that only writing can bring. As a romance lover, I couldn't make myself write of new love, when it is easy to be in love, easy to be mad for each other, easy to have sex every night.
Instead, I found a need inside me to re-connect couples, to shine a light of inspiration into a bedroom that has grown cold. So I will continue to write, and be a mom, sister, daughter and friend. Rebecca has not only shared pearls of wisdom about this beautiful region she has also highlighted to me the vlaue of a confident and skilled guide.
Someone that loves the stories they are sharing and the experience of making you feel safe and supported.
Rebecca brings to life every day information that as a tourist I would miss and as a retreat attendee I could so easily be consumed by my own thoughts and ideas that I forget to look around and appreciate the moment I am. Time with Rebecca is a refreshing break for my mind and sets me up with a new perspective every time. I smile as I fondly remember Mark has a vision to be a guide on our retreats — in the winter taking clients skiing and in the summer for cycle rides.
We have already noticed as a couple that learning to take turns to follow and lead is vital and physical activities are a great way of dipping in and out of mental stimulation and physical.
Don’t Be Surprised if Rebecca Hall Seems to Suddenly Turn into an American
Sightseeing was so off my radar, without him — without my guide I would have missed so much. It occurs to me now that my lack of confidence to learn and remember has created a behaviour that has prevented me from being curious about history and the story behind buildings. Now what is also interesting is that I stopped booking retreats abroad when Mark one year had to last minute cancel because his IT contract ran over. I would had played safe and probably eaten in my room and missed the friendliness of the local people.
Her confidence and clarity of the local cuisine has meant I have tried new things and things are changing inside. Her courage to travel sparks an inspiration in me that I can run retreats abroad again and that I can even get over the my reservation of travelling alone. Rebecca is bridging the gap between my desire to travel and my confidence to travel with paying clients.
Little things like what happens if a client needs a doctor? The Gift of a Happy Mother is a supportive guide that gives busy moms permission to care for themselves. Thus began a journey of reflection and repair work, as I asked myself an even harder question: How can I rediscover everyday joy amid the chaos of schedules, homework, and housework—not to mention the guilt, comparisons, loneliness, fear, and overwhelm? In other words, how can I become a happy mom again? Going beyond the usual advice about finding balance, embracing gratitude, and not sweating the small stuff, this hard-won advice is written by a busy mom in the trenches.
She understands the journey, tells you the truth, helps you find clarity, eases your mind, and always sticks up for you.
