This is a very interesting book filled with lots of info about Rachael Ray and rise to stardom. Did you know she hasn't had any formal cooking training?
I didn't, I thought she had been to chef schools. She has also been ridiculed for not having any formal schooling. Did you also know she had been mugged and gun whipped in New York?

Nevertheless, Ray has not been discouraged from these statements and remains an icon that ordinary Americans can relate to. By taking the mystique and difficulty out of cooking and by using ingredients that are readily available in small-town America, she encourages people to cook new dishes, to try new recipes, to expand their normal dinner routine.
